In person it is always better
The restaurant is in Nebraska.
U'll have to call and ask
Go to their website and scroll down to view normal website click on that and then u will find a small pic of the place and if u click on that u can see the whole menu
Check out their "normal website"
Generally good food - however inconsistent from time to time. Also, no refills on pop and chips. Service could be improved.
Literally the absolute worst “Mexican” food I’ve ever tried. No clue how they have business selling bland, old-tasting, and outright inedible food. Would rate 0 stars if I could.
Chips n salsa, enchiladas delish!!
My husband and I have eaten here for years and it’s one of our favorite places. They make the chips and they are so much better than store bought. Salsa is perfect for my taste. Just the right amount of cilantro. Great fajitas- they come to the table sizzling hot. We have lots of “go to” menu items and have never been disappointed. The staff is super friendly and attentive.
Delicious authentic Mexican food and warm atmosphere. Friendly staff and fast service.
The food is delicious. They sometimes have live music so you can enjoy your meal with your family. All in all, it's a fine establishment.
Best burrito I have had in a long time.
1st margaretta was good second was terrible
Can't go wrong coming here... I've been coming here for over twenty years and food is alway delicious!! Best Mexican and I do mean beat authentic Mexican food in all of Siouxland
My waitress brought me some Tylenol for my headache. She went above and beyond for excellent customer service
Great food and service...
Great flavored food, great service, and reasonable prices. Love the food there.
It was great. It's good everytime.
The food was okay. I'm pretty sure they used to give you a bit more chips and salsa to start off with, however the salsa is good. A kid's chicken tender meal only comes with 2 small tenders, so heads up. They don't give free refills on soda, which is almost unheard of and kind of insulting. The server wasn't very attentive after we received our food. The gigantic dance hall next to the dining room (no partition at all) has always been off-putting, yet strangely part of the charm. When l was a kid l loved this place, it's sad to say l think it has gone a bit down hill. Overall El Ranchito is overpriced for the mediocre food and cold atmosphere.
Authentic Mexican food. Delicious, never cold food
Large building with lots of seating, staff friendly and service was quick. Food was decent, especially the fajitas - the hubby and I loved them
What a great meal! The staff was very friendly and the food was perfect
Food was good but the services was not very good. Server never came back to check on us.
Huge place. The food was decent. They feel like they are set up for the night life crowd.
This was our first time trying it out and it will be our last. Food was good until half way through my burrito. Found a clump of hair mixed in with the meat. Waitress apologized and didn't charge us for our meal. Waitress also offered us a gift certificate.
Kinda weird Carne Asada. Just came out as a full steak- not skirt steak. maybe its a midwest thing. Charges extra for extra salsa? Bathroom needs some serious attention.
Great food wonderful atmosphere
Came here for a late lunch/early dinner. Chips and salsa were awesome, and I got a huge basket all for myself. Salsa was just the right amount of spicy without being over powering. They had some great specials for only $6.99, but I chose the spinach and mushroom enchiladas. Very tasty. I would come back again.m
Great salsa and never a bad thing on the menu
Nice and comfortable atmosphere and good food couldn't ask for more
The service was poor. Food was great. Went with the boyfriend and our kids. They took our orders but ignored our oldest. They brought our food out but not my daughters. Had to reorder it again and they still got it wrong. Shes 5 she likes to eat too. Asked for a refill on my drink didnt get one. Am I over reacting?
Love this place wish they knew more English
The fish was excellent! But then again, it always is!
Very good now ask me how my Onan cheetah was I just took all that
Good service with a well prepared, well thought out menu
Good food and service, will be back again
Nice little place
Ate here on a Saturday afternoon Sunday morning I was as sick as a dog. Have not been able to eat solid food for 3 days. Massively sick. Had the beef burrito found hair, shredded pork and other black item I couldn't identify. Drinking Glasses was smeared with grease. 4 days later I'm still massively sick. Wife got the chicken fajita and also got diarrhea for 2 days. This has burned us from eating at any other restaurants.
Very slow service, but great food and prices!
This place was “eh”, that’s one of the best ways I can put it. The service was not good at all, to start. Our waters were empty, we never got checked on, etc. Second, the food was nasty. I hardly write bad reviews about food, but it is just that—nasty. The enchilada sauce had a cinnamon taste to it? Last, the reason we will not be back, we all got SICK! Oh my word, it was terrible. The ones who ate the enchiladas all got sick and we were traveling—BOO! We came around 8:00 pm that night. I’m not sure if it’s because it was late and the food was left out on warmers or what (it came out abnormally fast), but seriously... not okay! The best part about the entire experience was the band playing in the background. That would be the ONLY way I’d come back.
Excellent Mexican restaurant. Very large fscility, extensive menu and very good food.
I love it!! Fast and friendly service. Even when it's busy. Very clean and comfortable with a great atmosphere. Reasonably priced menu and their dishes are well portioned. Never once had a bad experience. My favorite spot to visit in the Siouxland area for some most delicious, authentic Mexican food! Hands down. I highly recommend stopping in if you haven't already. I live a little under a half hour away and it's definitely worth the drive! Much respect. ¡Salud! 😃
Server wasn't very attentive to our table, but the food was good and reasonably priced. Just FYI, a second round of chips and salsa will cost you, first round is free. Our server neglected to let us know until I had to pay for my ticket. Food was good, service could have been better.
I work at a local hospital and our unit ordered lunch through the grub hub app.The food was decent but they missed one persons order. They were called and notified of the mishap and they credited the account, but that person didn’t get to have lunch that day. It was a mistake on the side of the restaurant, I feel they should have made it right by making the order and paying for the delivery. It was no fault of ours, it was no fault of GrubHub. I feel like this is just poor customer service. We will not order from here again, there are plenty of authentic Mexican restaurants around this area to order from.
Food is awesome and great place to have business or Xmas or family private party's or events.
Very good food and staff. Good band and large dance floor
Good food....a lol on the spendy side compared to other Mexican Restaurants in town
Excellent lunch. Big place, plenty of room. Good food
Hadn't returned to the midwest in 12 years. I always ate the 7 mares and cheese enchiladas. Sadly, their recipes or cook have changed. Not as good as I remember. But still a good meal. I went to eat twice during my visit but never saw Moises to say hi.
We’ve tried a lot of Mexican restaurants in Siouxland and this is our favorite. The salsa is chunky, they use shredded beef instead of ground, and the sauces are delicious! I wish they did free refills on soda, but that won’t stop be from going there.
I think the service could have been a bit better. Even with little people there, the food took forever to get. The food is pretty good though. The place is kind of spacey and massive. I think it has great potential.
Been there 3 times. Very good food, but coming from San Antonio, it's not quite there yet. I realize different regions have different tastes. Northern regions tend to be a little more bland compared to places nearer to Mexico. Food here isn't bland, but you won't feel like you've swallowed a flamethrower. Personally. I don't like my food so hot that it can cause you to lose your breath, but I do like correct seasonings. No worries on that here. Other than that, this place is probably the best Mexican food I've encountered "up north". Unless your experience has been of the frozen varieties at your grocer, you won't be disappointed.
The food is sooo good.
Excellent food. Best homemade salsa. We usually buy a pint or quart to take home with us too!! We are foodies and south Sioux City El Ranchito is one of the best authentic Mexican restaurants in the Tri state area and beyond. We live about 45 minutes out of the city, but always come back here because it’s consistently good with good service also. Our favorite Mexican restaurant by far❣️❣️❣️👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼😊
This is one of my favorite places to eat! I love their enchiladas, chips and salsa. Always pretty good service and decent prices. I could eat here almost every day and never get sick of it. Highly recommended!
